This program based in Paris starts with a visit of the major parisian museums (Louvre, Orsay, etc) to view key Impressionist works in the company of art historians. We will then visit the places that provided inspiration and subject matter: from the bustling streets of Paris to the artist colonies in Giverny and Barbizon and the seaside resort towns of Normandy. An excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of the Impressionists. THE LIGHT OF PROVENCE: CEZANNE and VAN GOGH: This tour centers on the lives and works of two preeminent fathers of modern art. Through a series of lectures and on-site visits to Aix-en-Provence and Arles, participants will gain greater insight into the genius of Cézanne and Van Gogh and experience first-hand their fascination for Provence's much-celebrated radiant light and striking landscape.     THE IMPRESSIONISTS : Paris, Giverny, Barbizon, Rouen, Honfleur THE LIGHT OF PROVENCE: hhis program is based in Aix en Provence and Arles.
