Two distinct neighbouring regions boasting about their strong “personalities”. Both defy their rich history of conquests and conquerors, their lands of immense artistic importance and picturesque landscapes and seashores. In Brittany, we explore its natural and pre-historic megaliths sites, its ancient Celtic origins, legends, and other facets of Breton history, as well as people’s character influenced by the omnipresent sea. In Normandy we witness the lust and peaceful verdant pastures of its heartland, its Norman and Gothic architecture, places where the impressionists set their easels, its most famous great soldier William the conqueror, and its history linked to the liberation of continental Europe from Germany in World War II.
